High tide flooding causes road closures in Mill Valley — Danville Schools news

Two roads are closed due to flooding in Mill Valley on Tuesday, according to an advisory issued by police. Mill Valley police issued an alert around noontime advising drivers to avoid Miller Avenue between Camino Alto and Almonte Boulevard. That is the section that runs between Tamalpais High School and the Bothin Marsh Preserve. Also closed is the west side of Redwood Highway, also called Frontage Road, between Hamilton Drive and the on ramp for southbound Highway 101. The road closures require traffic to detour until the flooding recedes. The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory that will be in effect through 5 p.m. Friday for bayshore locations along San Francisco Bay, San Pablo Bay, and Monterey Bay, as well as low-lying areas along the Pacific Coast.
